David was born on February 28^th 1897, the son of Mrs Caroline Renshaw of Roe Lake British Columbia. William Brent was the uncle of D. McIntosh. Private David McIntosh had enlisted with the 54^th Battalion and eventually joined the Canadian Infantry (Eastern Ontario) 2^nd Battalion machine gun section. He was killed on July 10^th 1916 at the age of 19. David was buried at Menin Gate (Ypres) Memorial in Belgium (Grave PANEL 10-26-28) (R#443295)
