Richard Powell was born in 1924. He was the son of Walter Rees Powell and Edna M. Powell. He worked in the family’s PrairieValley apple orchard. He enlisted as an aircraftman, 2nd Class. At the age of eighteen, he was killed accidentally on March 9th 1943 while on leave without pay in a lumber camp in Grand Central British Columbia. Richard is buried at the PeachOrchardCemetery (Grave Plot 119, Grave 4) (R/210550)
